About the Founder
Caroline has always been an animal lover – ever since a young age. In her mid-teen years she would volunteer regularly at a local animal rescue and veterinary clinics.
She always loved being able to make a difference and ever since that first day she dreamed of opening up her own rescue. Fast forward a few years later and she founded Homes for Paws Dog Rescue, shortly afterwards she graduated from the Professional Dog Trainer Certification Program at the Ottawa Canine School in order to be able to help even more dogs in need.
Caroline is also a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG- the Association for Force-free Pet Professionals). She has worked as a veterinary assistant, dog trainer, and a dog daycare attendant. While she was working in a doggy daycare, she noticed that very few of them included training and daycare together.
Dogs LOVE to learn and in fact teaching them new things not only offers them mental stimulation but it also keeps them in good physical shape. Being a trainer, she has always incorporated training in her day-to-day playgroups because she noticed that not only did it made her job easier, her clients loved it too!
Caroline opened The Canine Clubhouse so that pet parents everywhere can come home to a dog that is staying in good mental and physical shape all while having spent the day learning and having fun in a positive atmosphere-just like a child would do at camp.
